FOMO is built by Sandstone Cloud, LLC ("Sandstone Cloud," "we," "us," or "our"). We take your privacy seriously and want you to understand exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have over your data.

This policy applies to the FOMO mobile application, our website at fomo.sandstonecloud.com, and all related services (collectively, "FOMO" or the "Service").

The short version: We collect location and activity data to show you what's happening around you in real time. We never sell your data. We never send marketing texts. You can delete your account and all your data at any time from inside the app.

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (or Apple's relay email if you choose "Hide My Email"). We do not receive your Apple ID password, Google password, or contacts.

What we send: A single SMS containing a 6-digit verification code when you sign up or log in with your phone number.

Frequency: One message per verification attempt. No recurring messages. No marketing messages. No promotional texts.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out of future messages.

Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Anonymized & Aggregated Data

Venue owners see aggregated, anonymized data on their dashboard — total check-in counts, crowd level trends, peak hours, and general vibe sentiment. They cannot see individual users, names, or personal information.

Delete Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your personal data, anonymizes your past contributions (check-ins, posts), and frees your device slot. We process deletions immediately — there is no waiting period.

Location Permissions

You can revoke location permissions in your device settings at any time. Without location access, you can still browse venues and the map, but you won't be able to check in.

Push Notifications

You can manage or disable push notifications in your device settings or within FOMO's notification preferences.

Data Access

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by emailing support@sandstonecloud.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We protect your data using:

No system is 100% secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly.

8. Age Requirement

FOMO is for users 18 years of age and older. We verify age during signup and do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and associated data immediately.

9. Third-Party Links

FOMO may display venue websites, event links, or other third-party content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before sharing personal information with them.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of FOMO after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
